Walking TCU: A Historic Perspective, 2nd edition, is officially released as of April 26 and can be pre-ordered via Amazon as well as through TCU Press. For TCU fans, this is a quality hardbound book with lots of beautiful photos telling the story of the university and the buildings on campus from it’s beginnings. The new edition is hardcover, 304 pages, contains 250 color photos and is 9″x 9″.
While the first edition is a historical account of the University from 1873 through 1992, this later edition covers the last 30 years up to the present . The 2nd edition includes not only the original Walking TCU, but also has additional content researched and authored by Phil Hartman, TCU Emeritus Dean & Professor of Biology, and is a celebration of TCU’s 150th anniversary.

Founded in 1873, Texas Christian University is located on 272 acres about three miles from downtown Fort Worth, Texas. Walking TCU: A Historic Perspective, Second Edition describes the buildings on the Fort Worth campus, and before that those on the Thorp Spring and Waco campuses. The book provides an historical account of the various campus structures from the time of their initial construction to the present day. As the title suggests, the book is organized so that the reader can walk the campus, thereby gaining a greater appreciation for its inherent beauty and learning about those who have shaped TCU’s past and present.
